About Us
Shire Books is a home-based online bookstore located in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada – midway between Toronto and Niagara Falls. In the midst of an industrial heartland and “The Golden Horseshoe” we offer a doorway into the “shire” of reading knowledge, pleasure and the imagination. Although most of our sales are conducted online, an appointment may be made in advance to view or purchase a book. Note that the address given here is a post office box only.

Our home book shop and online website are dedicated in fond memory of the avid readers who have inspired us in our own love of books and learning: Frank, Martha, John, Kenneth and Thurston. We are also very grateful to those whose private collections have contributed to our select inventory.
